Rob Kenny
Rob has extensive experience in telecoms and media strategy, policy and transactions. Before joining Communications Chambers he was MD of Human Capital, a consulting firm. Past roles include heading Strategy and/or M&A for Hongkong Telecom, Reach and Level 3 (all multi-billion dollar telcos). He was also a founder of IncubASIA, a Hong Kong based venture capital firm investing in online businesses. He is author of the CommsThought blog.
Kip Meek
Kip has previously acted as a special advisor to BT, as a senior partner at Ofcom and as Chairman of the European Regulators Group. He has also chaired the UK's Broadband Stakeholders Group and been Non-Executive Chairman of YouView, the internet-connected television platform. He also acted as the UK government's Independent Spectrum Broker. He is a non-executive director of Wireless Infrastucture Group
Robin Foster
Robin is an economist and specialist in media policy and regulation and has held senior executive positions with the BBC, Independent Television Commission and Ofcom. He is currently an independent member of the Ofcom Content Board, and of the Advertising Advisory Committee at BCAP. He previously was a member of the UK government’s Digital Britain Board and the Global Communications Consortium at LBS. He has published widely on media matters, including recent papers on the future of UK regional TV news, the UK as a creative hub, and the impact of digital gatekeepers on news plurality. Robin’s advisory work is now focused on public sector and international projects.
Tim Suter [Senior advisor]
Tim is MD of Perspective, advising clients on media and communications policy and regulation. Previously the founding Ofcom partner responsible for content regulation, he was Head of Broadcasting Policy at DCMS during the passage of the Communications Act 2003, having held senior editorial roles in BBC News.
Tim also serves as a member of Ofcom's main board, and as such can generally have no involvement in projects related to the companies Ofcom regulates.
Brian Williamson
Brian has advised clients in relation to telecoms, technology and radio spectrum policy and strategy issues. He has developed new ways of approaching policy problems, including the anchor product regulation concept adopted in Europe. Brian was a founder of Plum Consulting and has previously worked at Indepen, NERA Economic Consulting and the New Zealand Treasury. Brian has an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a BSc in Physics from the University of Auckland.
Nick Fookes
Nick is a rounded telecoms consultant with 21 years industry experience spanning over twenty mature and emerging markets around the globe. He is a specialist in spectrum policy, valuation and auction strategy, having advised mobile operators in connection with over ten high-profile spectrum awards, licence renewals and spectrum trades. Further expertise includes investment appraisal and commercial due diligence, infrastructure sharing and emergency-services mobile communications.
Mark Bunting
Mark has 16 years’ digital media strategy and policy experience. Prior to joining Communications Chambers he held a series of senior strategy positions at the BBC, led broadcasting and digital policy projects at Ofcom and ran an Internet research consultancy. He is an experienced quantitative and qualitative researcher, and a visiting academic at the Oxford Internet Institute, where he works and writes independently on Internet policy and regulation.
